We design and implement testing technology for drive units and components continuously adapting it to real-world conditions. Our range of services includes development and the construction of customized testing solutions for combustion engines, electric motors, hydrogen or hybrid powertrains, as well as for systems such as chassis, steering, and battery technology.
Test benches
Our test benches are at the heart of modern testing technology. We develop, build, and operate high-performance test benches for a variety of industries and applications—tailored to meet our customers’ specific requirements.
Our test benches are also used outside of traditional powertrain technology, for example in the form of a furniture test bench for load and durability testing. Every engine test bench and every test system is modular in design and can be flexibly expanded. Modern test bench automation ensures efficient, reproducible test sequences.
Test bench operation
Reliable test bench operation is crucial for valid test results and high system availability. We manage the operation of test benches—from individual systems to entire test facilities. Our services range from maintenance and repair to process optimization and continuous monitoring.
Stable operation plays a central role, particularly in engine test benches. Through structured processes and the targeted use of measurement technology and our own test bench automation, downtime can be minimized and test capacities optimally utilized. Automated test sequences ensure consistent quality and reduce manual intervention.
Professional test bench operation ensures that the test technology used operates reliably over the long term and delivers meaningful measurement data at all times—even during complex endurance or high-voltage tests.
Our expertise in test bench development and operation also flows into forward-looking projects: As part of the REASSERT research project, BRIGHT is implementing a central test bench for the comprehensive analysis and reconditioning of used electric traction motors—mechanically, electrically, thermally, and functionally—in order to enable sustainable reuse through a variety of test procedures.
Test object integration
Test object integration is an essential component of comprehensive testing technology. We ensure the safe and efficient integration of newly developed test objects into existing test benches and testing systems. This includes mechanical adaptations, electrical connections, and the integration of relevant measurement and sensor systems.
Whether components, complete drive units, or battery modules—each test object is integrated in such a way that realistic tests can be performed on the engine test bench or on specialized test benches. Through coordinated test bench automation, new test objects can be quickly integrated and existing test sequences flexibly expanded.
The result is a seamless, future-proof test environment in which test technology, test benches, and test specimen integration work together optimally while leveraging existing resources.
