The Cluster Electric Mobility South-West, coordinated by the state agency e-mobil BW, was awarded the ECEI GOLD label for the fourth time in 2026—the European quality standard for excellence in cluster work. As an active member of this network, BRIGHT is also part of a strong innovation community that is playing a key role in shaping the transformation of the automotive industry.
Focus on Collaboration: Driving Innovation Together
The Cluster Electric Mobility South-West serves as a platform for technology transfer and collaboration. Through joint projects and initiatives, solutions are developed that are directly implemented in industrial practice—ranging from the training of skilled workers to new production technologies.
One example is the QualiBattBW training initiative, through which more than 500 skilled workers from over 150 companies have been trained in battery technologies since 2024. Similarly, research projects such as AgiloDrive2 demonstrate how innovative production concepts for electric motors are being developed and successfully implemented in industrial applications.
BRIGHT’s role in the cluster
BRIGHT is actively involved in the Cluster Electric Mobility South-West and contributes its own expertise to the collaboration.
- Active participation in the Cluster Electric Mobility South-West, including in the working groups on electric motors and commercial vehicles
- Networking with other relevant innovation clusters such as H2BW and HZwo Chemnitz
- Participation in joint appearances at trade fairs, including Hannover Messe (The Länd joint booth) and hy-fcell Stuttgart
- Participation in committees such as the QualiBattBW Project Advisory Board
- Establishing and maintaining contacts with research institutions, e.g., the FKFS
A Strong Community for the Mobility of the Future
